hey sqms!!!

i'm back =) i was back at home yesterday at around 10 plus! Cameron Highlands was GREAT!!!! i wanna go back! i forgot which sqm told me it was boring...haha it wasn't for me! perhaps it's cos of my cousins! i think this trip really got us alot closer than before. i tell you all about the trip kae! those who not interested can skip the next few paragraphs and go STUDY!!!!! haha

1. We drove up a full 8 hours along the northsouth highway in a grand formation of SIX cars! of course, we had short breaks and lunch along the way...but the whole experience was still pretty...butt-degenerating.... haha =p when we reached the mountain area...it started to get really cold!!! the air's really fresh!and i noted alot of geography related stuff along the way...haha like how relief rain is caused by the air forced up the slopes of the mountain and landslides..and how come temperature is lower at higher altitudes, meandering rivers! physical geog rocks haha ms teo too! =p

2. our hotel was really nice and grand! strawberry park hotel. the name's funny...cos there's no strawberry parks nearby at all! it was situated at quite a ulu place...so on the first night, my dad sort of dropped behind the formation of 6 cars and got lost!!! it was really dark and SIGNBOARDS were RARE. so we called my uncle..and he drove back to rescue us! woah. i cannot imagine if we got lost and then we'll have to camp in the super dark forest! EEEE. guess what! our hotel has disney channel! and well...world cup la. haha but i'm more interested in the first one =p my cousins and my sis and i watched disney channel when we had nothing to do...quite cute. there's always this filler item between shows called HIDDEN MICKEY. haha =p then my p4 and p6 cousins will scream when they find the mickey hahaha =p they showed monsters.inc and I AM SAM on the other channel while we were there! and we caught the portugal match, argentina match...and england i think... =p

3. on day 2 night, we drove down alittle to one of the small towns and had our dinner! we couldn't fit into 1 big table so we split up to sit at 2 tables to have dinner. halfway through, one of my cousin's friend (they went with us) who was sitting at the other table shouted very loudly...and then there was a huge commotion at the other table. everyone in the shop turned to look...and the shop auntie went over to investigate. THERE WAS THIS HUGE INSECT AND IT LANDED IN MY UNCLE'S PLATE OF FOOD! yucks. super HUGE okay sqms....like the SIZE OF MY OUTSTRETCHED HAND. okay maybe a LITTLE smaller.

then one shop uncle took it by the wings and brought it out and it was fluttering so vigorously la. then after that, somehow, it came in again and clinged on to one of the tablecloth. attracted alot of attention and many people who were eating in that shop went over to take pictures of it! alot of kids crowded over that tablecloth and oooeh and aaa-eh at it...then someone turned it over. -.- i think it turned over by itself and went to the alley...then my cousin wanted to bring it back to the hotel. hahah like he dare to touch it la. =p OH YAH. forgot to tell you all what the insect was! my dad said it was a cicada! cool right. i never knew a cicada could be that big.

4. on the second last day...it was raining quite heavily and up in the mountain areas...it was really foggy! i'm not sure if it could be counted as a fog or mist...or was it just clouds. but anyway...visibility range was about 100m? my first time experiencing a fog!!! anyway we ended our plans for the day early due to the weather and we went back to stone in the hotel!

then my cousin suggested to go for a swim! woah. can u imagine SWIMMING in such a weather?'i thought i'll freeze! haha but of course i didn't, if not í won't be able to type... =p anyway...the pool was indoors...the water was still cold...and the pool was actually closed for maintenance...but no one cared! so we went in anyway...and the water was a little murky. haha =p anyway my sis and my two younger cousins formed a GIRLS team! and my guy cousin and his 3 friends formed another GUY TEAM. haha and we had a mini competition! the pool was small, about 4m by 6m. the first race was to swim four relay laps (so each person in the team swim 1 lap) in whatever style u liked. it was a tough fight and we fought hard!!!! but we lost by like 2 seconds!!! after that we standardized and said everyone will swim breaststroke. GUESS WHAT!!! GIRLS' TEAM WON! =p yayyy. then we bathed and we were prepared to go back out into the cold and DASH back to the hotel room cos we didn't want to freeze. but when we stepped out, it wasn't cold at all! it's probably cos we just stepped out of a warm area...and we just had a swim..so i think our body heat was warmer than usual. WOAH. then this is the exciting part! we noticed that we could see our breaths!!! means...when we breathe out...you can see air rushing out. hahhaa woah! so cool...then we super excitedly breathed in and out all the way back to hotel room =p it was a great experience!!!

5. on the second last day morning (saturday before fathers' day), my uncle very suay...his side mirror broke because a huge branch brushed past it. the whole thing was dangling by a piece of thin metal! so the plans were changed and all of us went off to the market square for that morning while the fathers of 4 families went downhill in search of a place to repair my uncle's car. meanwhile, we played and talked and stoned around until my auntie saw my cousin folding stars for fathers' day gift! then she had an idea...all the kids of all 6 families gathered in an empty area at the market square and we filmed a fathers' day tribute!!! hahha my aunt brought her vidcam along. we jumped up and shouted "happy fathers' day!" hahaha....then we watched the video before we left cameron highlands on the last day. hahha it was super funny =p

6. we were back at tuas checkpoint at about 9 plus yesterday night and there was a pretty heavy jam. when we finally got through the checkpoint...there was the checking of the car station! we got this male staff sergeant who was alot more dilligent than other people. the other lanes were all recruits and all...haha =p he wanted us to open our bags and he digged through almost everything. so sad he got a car that just came back from cameron highlands la. only can buy strawberries back. hahah no illegal stuff! so we drove off and HOME SWEET HOME!!!! =p

woah. okay that was a super long post!! haha i wonder which sqm will read through it all. anyway! that's all the highlights! =p dang. it's the last week of the holidays already! =( i just can't wait for blocks to end!!! then we can all relax for a while and play and go out! and go ny funfair! =p haha anyway...i dreamt about our squad while i was at cameron highlands! i think we were still cadets under 34ma'ams. hahaha =p haha that should be because when i was rotting during the 8 hr drive there...i was thinking about all our np memories!!! haha sec 1 grasshopper supposed farewell item which in the end became squadmaid huh.. =p

anyway....okay too bad we couldn't meet up during the hols except for the itc visit...but yeah!!! we'll meet up real soon during ny funfair!!! =p i miss u guys!!!! jiayou for mugging and piaing hwk k!
